“Giving back is at the heart of our business’s mission. From the very beginning, we have always made giving an
important part of the business” recently commented Chester French Stewart, Chairman of the French Family of
Companies (FCC).
Our caring employees make up our "French Ambassadors" who volunteer in our community monthly to make a
difference. Whether it's being on a mud volleyball team to raise money for Carrie Tingley Children's Hospital,
making dinner at the Ronald McDonald House, participating in the Juvenile Diabetes walk for the cure or the
annual United Way campaign our employees are all heart.
You will see our Ambassadors at our special events too. French offers a rich variety of special events to touch the
community -- the Tree of Remembrance ceremony each holiday season, the annual Memorial Service at Sunset
Memorial Park and community grief workshops often featuring internationally known speakers like Dr. Alan
Wolfelt to serve our medical and hospice community.

Memorial Day

Military Tribute at the flagpole conducted by USAF Honor Guard from Kirtland AFB.
(Honor Guard, Reviele, Taps, Gun Salute, Flag Raising & Lowering to Half Staff)
9:30am
American flag Retirement Ceremony near the Centennial Urn Garden conducted by the
Boy Scouts
*Please bring any soiled, torn, or faded American flags to Sunset Memorial Park
between now and Memorial Day to be “retired”at this ceremony. The metal remains
(gromets) will be entombed in a special crypt in the ground by the main flagpole.

Traditional Memorial Day service in the tent by the Chester T. French Mausoleum. Our
Keynote Speaker is Col. Sydney Gutierrez, USAF Ret - the first Hispanic Space Shuttle
Commander. Invocation, Music, Color Guard, and Taps.
